Most of Us Feel Crappy

Feb 16, 2024

It’s true. I mean, I only have anecdotal evidence, but when I ask around to my friends and family, most of us feel crappy.

Fatigued. Bloated. Brain foggy. Achy. Irritated skin. High blood pressure. Food sensitivities. Malaise. Weight gain. Allergies. Poor sleep. Constipation. Heart Burn. Reflux.

Did I miss any?

Can you relate?

I sure can.

If you don’t know my story at 18, when I left the comfort of my mother’s cooking, I did NOT know what to do with myself. I quickly gained weight, developed stress fractures, and began a cycle of starving myself and exercising for 4-5 hours a day, and then binging on allllllll the foods, from Papa John’s pizza and bread sticks to devouring WHOLE BAGS of Starburst jelly beans.

And guess what?

I started feeling crappy.

I endured a verbally and emotionally abusive collegiate coach who drove these issues deeper into me. Now, had I been feeling AWESOME, I don’t think she would have had the effect she did on me. But alas, I feel like crap and had zero self-confidence. And like most abusers, I think she knew it.

And I didn’t know how to take control. I wanted to blame everything and everyone outside of me.

Therapy. Counseling. Weekly visits to the hospital to meet with a nutritionist. All of it helped.

Some.

But there was a bigger issue at play that I wouldn’t recognize (nor would the world) until decades later.

My body was in a state of out-of-control inflammation.

I was a mess.

I felt like crap all the time and nothing seemingly helped.

Does that feel like you?

Me, graduating PT school in 2007, feeling crappy (PS Isn’t my mom stunning!?!??!)

I tried paleo, vegan, keto, and intermittent fasting. All of it.

I ended up with an Epstein-Bar Virus flare-up diagnosis, anemia, and low thyroid. We healed ALL three of those and I felt better, as in I didn’t feel like I was going to fall asleep while driving, but I was still needing like 10 hours of sleep plus naps to function.

Gut dysfunction and clogged drainage pathways. Poor cellular function. After months of digging into the research as time allowed (remember, I was completely out of energy), I stumbled onto these terms.

I’d heard about “detox” and truly wasn’t a fan. It’s an overused word that has turned into a marketer’s dream. Every time I’d hear it, I’d roll my eyes. Just eat cleaner. Exercise more. It will all be fine!

A system wrought with years of glyphosate, poor food choices in college and grad school, over-exercising, binge-eating, and lots of sugar and alcohol.

I needed a clean-up. And fast. I had a life to get back to.

I had to not only overcome the emotional drama of a bing-eating disorder, but the resultant insulin resistance that has played a role in it as well as been worsened by it.

I tolerated 21 years of feeling crappy and exhausted. It took me that long to figure out what was REALLY going on in my body.

I just didn’t have the capacity to do anything. I didn’t have anyone to turn to to help me.

So I figured it out myself.

And even though I knew I needed to try something radical, I STILL waited. I worried about the money, the questions I would get; I worried about it looking like I’m repping another company (untrue, but appearances are everything these days).

I could barely make it through the day and YET I DID NOTHING. I did more of the same that got me nowhere.

Is this you?

You tell yourself if I just try a little harder, if I just eat a little cleaner, if I just get a little more sleep, if I just fast a little longer.

Sister, I FEEL you.

Learn from my mistakes. Don’t wait another minute to stop feeling crappy.

You deserve to feel your best, whether you are a new mom, a teenager, or in your 60s! Life is TOO short to miss out on another moment.

So I did a thing. I changed careers completely because I couldn't stand by and watch women (and their children) suffer from feeling like crap and no knowing what to do about it (although I'd argue the issue is that often we know TOO much and getting headed in the right direction is way less complicated than your average influencer would like to make it).

I created a system based on science that has been shown to consistently help women (and men) lose not only the weight, but the disease diagnosis that generally is lingering in the background.

I will be sharing more about this in March, so if you want all the details below, make sure you click the link below to get the notification when the masterclass goes live. You won't want to miss the simple steps to getting your health back on track.

Because you 1000% deserve it. Don't wait anymore. I've got you.
